Since we are a new generation of EWB members, we don't really have a main project to focus & contribute to, such as the members two years ago or so did (i.e., Ghana since most of the Ghana members do not attend the general meetings for various reasons & contribute to the project on their own time. [for more info., see the Ghana Page]) The best way for you to get involved now is to be a part of a new project since there is so much to be done. First of all, we need to select a new project by visiting the EWB-USA Open Projects Page & deciding which open project would best fit the group. Then there's an application to be filled out by a certain deadline which requires us to show off our skills and why we (as the UA chapter) should be selected by EWB-USA to adopt the desired project. Once we are granted the project we are able to use our awesome engineering skills. Being a part of a project will allow you to gain experience, knowledge, & so much more. Plus it looks great on your resume & companies love seeing that you are involved with a great organization such as EWB by being a part of an actual project.
